Road Styles & Lane Shapes

New documentation and visual-aided image guides are now available for Road Styles and Lane Shapes, helping users better understand how to customise road layouts, lane profiles, materials, and shape behaviour inside Road Constructor.

Road Styles & Lane Shapes

We are pleased to announce that new documentation for Road Styles and Lane Shapes is now available in the Road Constructor Documentation Area.

These new guides can be found under their respective documentation sections and include clear written information alongside visual-aided images to help explain the workflow in a more practical and accessible way.

Road Styles are a key part of Road Constructor’s workflow, allowing users to define and reuse complete road setups across their projects. This includes lane layouts, lane types, materials, generated systems, placement options, and other road configuration settings that help speed up road creation while keeping projects consistent.

Lane Shapes provide deeper control over the physical profile and appearance of individual lanes. They allow users to customise how lanes are shaped, how surfaces are formed, and how materials are displayed across different lane types such as driving lanes, sidewalks, shoulders, medians, and more.

The new documentation is designed to make these systems easier to understand, especially for users who want to create more advanced road layouts, custom materials, unique lane profiles, or reusable style presets.

Video tutorials for both Road Styles and Lane Shapes are also currently being created. These will provide step-by-step visual walkthroughs to support the written documentation and help users get the most out of these powerful Road Constructor features.

As Road Constructor continues to move toward its official Fab launch release, documentation and tutorial content will continue to be expanded, refined, and updated to support new features, workflow improvements, and ongoing quality-of-life enhancements.
